Start with the documented color character
Blank Canvas is a high-reflectance Behr white; its published digital values are exceptionally close to Swiss Coffee 12. Temperature is a useful description, but neighboring materials can change the impression. Blank Canvas and Swiss Coffee 12 have nearly identical published screen values and equal LRV, limiting what a digital comparison can establish.
Why the cream cabinetry and pale oak relationship matters
A physical difference beside cream cabinetry is more useful than inventing a dramatic undertone story from a one-step RGB difference.
Blank Canvas and Swiss Coffee both have a published LRV of 84. That equality describes reflectance, not matching colorants or identical undertones. Behr Swiss Coffee 12 is a warm white with a cream base, separate from Benjamin Moore's OC-45. This supplies a named color control; the LRV gap alone does not identify the warmer, greener or pinker paint.
Use Swiss Coffee as a control
Put Blank Canvas directly against the whitest permanent surface and then against the warmest one. If those two boundaries disagree, decide which surface controls the project. The word warm cannot reconcile every ivory cabinet with every white stone, and a cooler label does not automatically imply an unsuitable room.
Separate a persistent cast from a comparison effect
Do not turn a tiny screen difference into a strong undertone claim; order both authentic samples if the choice is close.
Judge the temperature description against the full cream cabinetry and pale oak arrangement. A warm or cool label is a useful starting category; it cannot guarantee that Blank Canvas agrees with every material assigned the same label. The wood-floor pairing guide covers that related choice. Before ordering samples, compare room-planning features in the paint color visualizer roundup.
